Overview

Sistem Jaminan Produk Halal (SJPH) for cattle slaughter, set inside Indonesia's mandatory Halal certification regime administered by BPJPH, the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency. The regime expects a designated Halal supervisor, the Penyelia Halal, and internal governance documented well enough to stay effective continuously, not just before an inspection. Designated Halal inspection bodies assess the system and product conformity, the national authority issues the certificate, and surveillance and renewal follow.

Coverage runs the slaughter floor for cattle and other large ruminants: approval of supplying farms, feed and input materials; reception, lairage, driving and ante-mortem inspection; restraint and non-penetrative stunning validated to stay reversible; dhabh by a trained Muslim slaughterman with a sharp blade and the prescribed invocation; confirmation of complete bleeding; skinning, head removal, evisceration, splitting and post-mortem inspection; then chilling, cutting, packing, cold chain and dispatch. Carrion and improperly slaughtered animals are rejected; Halal marking stays with each carcass; and chiller, deboning and dispatch areas are held apart from non-Halal production. Restraint, stunning, slaughter and bleeding are recorded per animal, with lot release referring back to those entries.

What this system covers

  • Farm, feed and input approval — supplying farms and materials evaluated before animals reach the lairage
  • Reception, lairage, driving and ante-mortem — rest, handling and fitness assessment recorded before restraint
  • Restraint and non-penetrative stunning — validated parameters and per-animal evidence that the stun stayed reversible
  • Slaughter (dhabh), bleeding and dressing — invocation, blade condition, bleed-out confirmation, head check and carcass identification
  • Chilling, cold chain and transport — storage temperature, cold store control, vehicle inspection at dispatch
  • Halal supervision, sertu and audit — Penyelia Halal governance, the Juleha roster, ritual cleansing and internal auditing against SJPH

Who it's for

Slaughterhouse owners, plant managers and Halal supervisors in Indonesia, and exporters of beef into it, needing lawful and continued access to a large, highly Halal-conscious market. The purchase is driven by the mandatory obligation itself, an approaching inspection or a renewal date. The plant ends up with per-animal slaughter evidence, a documented supervisor role and an internal audit cycle matching what the inspection bodies examine.
