Overview
New inspectors need more than food safety knowledge. They need to know the limits of their legal powers, how to plan visits by risk, how to gather evidence that holds, and how to stay professional when a business owner is hostile or offers an inducement. This course covers the role from first principles to enforcement and communication.
Risk-based planning is taught with the priority method in FAO FNP 89 (2008), which combines a compliance profile with a product risk profile. A fictional worked example shows the method, and the authority replaces it with its own scheme. Checklist items are split into administrative and public-health families, with the numbers set by the authority's own checklist. Codex CXG 82-2013 is cited for risk-based inspection programmes.
The delegate workbook holds an evidence pack built on a fictional Restaurant X and the mock-inspection criteria. A slide deck with notes, an exam pack with a key and mock-inspection notes, and a certificate template that records training given by your organisation complete the package. Standards are referenced by number and title only, and no standard text is included. AGS is independent and is not affiliated with the FAO or the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
