Overview
Every bather is at once the pool's customer and its principal contaminant, so a pool is run as engineering plant and as a water supply at once. This guideline is aligned with the WHO Guidelines for Safe Recreational Water Environments (Volume 2) and EN 15288 Parts 1 and 2, covering public pools, spa pools and the bathhouse serving them.
Half the code is structure — basin, decks, ladders, lighting and electrical safety — and half is plant. It is one editable reference guideline, with water chemistry quick references, design and hydraulics tables and a daily operating reference annexed.
