IFS Wholesale/Cash and Carry version 3 is an integrated management system standard for product safety and quality tailored to wholesale and cash-and-carry operations that store, handle and trade food and, where relevant, non-food products. As part of the wider IFS portfolio, it is designed to align with the structure and scoring approach used across IFS standards, and IFS schemes are recognised within the GFSI framework where benchmarked. Certification is carried out by approved certification bodies through third-party audits, with results expressed against a scoring system incorporating knock-out criteria and major non-conformity provisions, and certificates issued for a defined validity period subject to renewal auditing.
