Overview
Some people who work with or near food have never had food safety training, and some find written material hard. This course is pitched for them. It uses simple words, short parts and a card of six rules to remember, the Big Six: the danger zone, cooking, handwashing, sickness, raw meat and allergens.
The slides carry speaker notes, including guidance on handling low literacy and anxiety. 'My Workbook' gives each learner a simple record of the course and the Big Six card. A short written test with an answer key checks understanding, and a certificate template records completion of entry-level training given by your organisation.
The course follows a Level 1 syllabus structure and is presented as the first step towards Level 2. It is not an accredited qualification or award. Temperature figures follow the Dubai Municipality Food Code, with a danger zone of 5 °C to 60 °C and hot holding at 60 °C or above, and trainers are told to teach their own food authority's limits where they differ. AGS is independent and is not affiliated with Dubai Municipality. Regulations are referenced by citation, and no standard text is included.
